There are two telltale signs that Spring is near:

  1. Plumb blossoms are starting to bloom.
  2. It rains a lot.

The weather channel has been giving information on where plumb hanami (flower viewing) can be seen, and a daily pollen report to accompany it. (Sakura -- cherry blossoms -- represent the height of hanami season, though. They're still a month or two away.)

And today (Feb. 16) is a rainy Sunday.

So, what can one do on a rainy Sunday preventing all from going out to the park and playing? Why, pulling out the trains and building a big layout sounds like something fun! And that's just what Jovian (with some help from Dad) did. And the two put together one of their best, most creative layouts to date.

Now, if only Jovian was a good at putting the train away as he is at pulling it out and putting it together...
